Gemvision Announces Updates for MatrixGold 3

MatrixGold 3, the CAD platform offered by Stuller subsidiary Gemvision, has released an update with powerful new features that should streamline the jewelry design process for users.

Gemvision says the premier enhancement of MatrixGold 3.9—the first of three major updates planned for the program in 2025—is its Dynamic Power Toggle, intended to let users decide when to recalculate geometry. This is a game-changing feature for complex designs with multiple operations, according to Gemvision.

Additional new tools include quick commands, enabling users to create personalized tool layouts; static surface prong, providing a non-parametric option that’s ideal for designs with large stone arrays; and performance boost, delivering faster file loading and smoother copy/paste operations.

“The MatrixGold 3.9 update represents a significant step forward in our product development,” said Oriol Collelldemont, product director at Gemvision, in a statement. “It’s built on feedback from our customers, whose insights continue to shape the software to better support their business needs.”

Hamptons Jewelry Show Set for July

The Hamptons Jewelry Show, an international fine jewelry fair, will take place July 24–27 in Southampton, N.Y., across 17 acres of the Southampton Fairgrounds.

“It is rare for a direct-to-the-public jewelry show to attract national luxury sponsors, except in the Hamptons,” said Rick Friedman, the event’s founder and executive director, in a statement. “This is because our 4,000 hard-to-reach, affluent jewelry-loving guests are the prime target audience for many luxury brands.”

At the height of the summer season, more than 80 brands from around the world will showcase their jewelry in climate-controlled tents at the Hamptons Jewelry Show. Curated by designer Hilary Joy Diaz, the show will make its debut alongside the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, which is in its 19th year.
