For those chasing rarefied sparkle, Phillips will offer an array of signed pieces, colored gemstones, and notable diamonds in its highly anticipated New York Jewels auction on June 12.
At the center of the sale is a masterwork by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co.: a starfish brooch (pictured at top) crafted with tsavorites, sapphires, and diamonds—“a striking expression of Jean Schlumberger’s visionary design,” according to Cristina Rodrigo, head of sale for Phillips. The brooch arrives at auction in synchronicity with Tiffany’s 2025 Blue Book collection, Sea of Wonder, which draws directly from Schlumberger’s 1960s ocean-inspired designs.
The auction’s highest-value lots feature a 3.03 ct. fancy intense pink diamond (with an estimate of $1.2 million to $1.6 million) and a 13.36 ct. Colombian emerald (estimated at $300,000 to $500,000) that’s accompanied by five certifications including Muzo provenance.

Van Cleef & Arpels signed jewels on the block include a diamond necklace from the maison’s high jewelry collection Folie des Prés and a diamond bangle in its textured Galuchat style, each with an estimate of $40,000–$60,000. Two emerald and diamond pieces attributed to Chaumet—a necklace and a pair of earclips—are also in the sale.

The auction will include other top-tier signed pieces from heritage maisons, among them a sculptural garnet ring by Hemmerle, a 1930s Boivin rock crystal brooch, and a classic Trombino ring by Bulgari with a 14.03 ct. unheated sapphire of Ceylon origin.

New York Jewels’ preview exhibition runs June 8–11 at the Phillips galleries at 432 Park Ave. in Manhattan.
