The latest and greatest emerald jewels might be the headline here, as my May inbox was, predictably, loaded with emerald jewelry. It being my birthstone, I didn’t mind one bit. But how can anyone resist the emeralds that came in?
I could have easily filled several pages with these birthday-worthy creations. Since I’m gearing up for Las Vegas (no doubt, along with many of you), I won’t. This year’s events at JCK and the rest of Las Vegas Jewelry Week seem promising in terms of new jewels to discover; I can barely contain myself at the thought of the gemstones that await.
What has become one of my favorite elements (or perhaps the word is hopes) of Jewelry Week is being surprised by one particular gemstone that’s trending or starting to trend. I have some thoughts on what’s to come—more on that in the near future.
For now, here are highlights from May: that fabulous windfall of emeralds, along with other captivatingly colorful gems.
