Initial jewelry isn’t hard to find, it’s true, and that’s why a personalized piece that makes your heart skip a beat—like this Double Buckle necklace—is all the more special.
A part of Hine Fine Jewelry’s debut collection, First Rodeo, the necklace is themed with reimagined classic cowboy elements. This Western aesthetic has been popular for a while, though it wasn’t Beyoncé’s venture into country music or TikTok’s cowboy couture trend that prompted First Rodeo’s creation, as Hine designer Rachael Bennett explains.
“The buckle motif, mixed metals, and customizable initials are signature elements woven throughout First Rodeo,” says Bennett, who founded Hine in 2020. “Inspired by my Texas upbringing and the Western design I grew up with, the collection reinterprets those influences in a way that feels refined, modern, and wearable. Since launching, this style has been a favorite for commemorative gifting—births, anniversaries, you name it.”

The Double Buckle pendant is reversible and can be customized with a choice of letters or numbers. The purchaser also can choose between the regular size pendant (on a 20-inch chain) or a mini version (18-inch chain).
My favorite feature, though, may be the two-tone design, a rose gold letter popping with a feminine pink against a framed golden background, the elements of yellow gold distinct thanks to a combination of matte and polished textures. The bead chain completes a beautifully casual look that makes this piece ideal for everyday wear.
Hine Fine Jewelry has a thing for two-tone—and even tricolor—pieces, its offerings brimming with a glorious mix of yellow, rose, and white gold. Prices range from under $500 for a pair of mismatched stud earrings to upward of $10,000 for a collar necklace featuring old mine-cut citrine. Every Hine jewel is just as lovely as the last, but it’s this initial pendant (in either size) that really gets to me.
